A tribute to Andrew Robert Coldwell (known as Andy), date of birth 15/08/1972.
Died aged 34 years on the 10 August 2007, tragically decided to take his own life due to lifes pressures. He wanted to be a free spirit and chose to join the great beyond.
Andy lived in Chatham Kent all of his life; first raised in the Davis Estate in Chatham then moved to nearer Chatham town with his family aged 16. He worked at GEC Avionics for 5 years, completed his apprenticeship as a Computer Technician but then at the the age of 21 years he was made redundant and left by this company to pick up the pieces. He then changed his career to train as a Mechanic, completing a 3 year college course in Mechanics and also completed a Motorcycle servicing and repair course after further 2 years.
His main and first love was his Motorbikes; he bought his first bike aged 16 years, progressed over the years to bigger and faster bikes. He loved to maintain his bikes, taking them apart, re-building them and always making sure that they looked the business. He loved motorbike racing, The Isle of Mann TT racing and his idol was Carl Fogarty and he enjoyed going to Brands Hatch, Chelsea Bridge, Box Hill and various motorbike meets.
He adored wildlife, the environment, nature and cared for the family cats.
"The System" as the family now refer to it failed Andy and we feel it contributed to his early death.
He was a great guy, had passion for motorbiking, a clever methodical and mechanical mind, great innovation, excellent ideas, a great sense of humour, full of tenderness for folk, a sense of no fear, was concered for world issues and loved his family very much in his own special way.
He has now gone to Superbike Heaven and I hope that he is riding around on his Red Ducati the Foggy way, "Get that knee down Bro" !!!
We all miss you Son, Brother, Andy, Ham (first name David called him) and And.

How you doing. Missing you loads and thinking of you all the time. Shame to hear the loss of gary speed, he must of been going through some pain as well. Brings all the 'why' thoughts back but I know I will never be able to answer them.
